WHAT IS AN ALPHABET? (English):

The English Alphabet consists of 26 letters. These letters are used to form words and sentences in English.

There are:

26 - Letters in total

21 - Consonants

5 - Vowels

English Alphabet అనేది ఇంగ్లీష్ భాషలో పదాలు, వాక్యాలు రూపొందించడానికి ఉపయోగించే 26 అక్షరాల సమాహారం.

ALPHABET (A – Z)

A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z

VOWELS (స్వరాలు):

A, E, I, O, U

CONSONANTS (వ్యంజనాలు):

All letters except A, E, I, O, U

CAPITAL & SMALL LETTERS:

Capital Letters: A B C D … Z

Small Letters: a b c d … z

Examples:

B – b

C – c

SOUNDS OF ALPHABETS (Basic Phonics):

A – /æ/ as in Apple

B – /b/ as in Ball

C – /k/ as in Cat

D – /d/ as in Dog

E – /e/ as in Egg

SILENT LETTERS (Introduction):

Some letters are not pronounced.

Examples:

Knife (k is silent)

Honest (h is silent)
